Looking for some new and exciting date ideas in Singapore? Well, you’ve come to the right place! Nothing against the whole “dinner and a movie” routine, but it helps to shake things up by trying something new. Here are some fun and unique things you can try out on your next date. 🥰

01 • Go for dinner and drinks, and game the night away at LEVEL UP

Couples that play together, stay together. If you’re a firm believer in that idea, then you and your special someone should definitely head down to Level Up.

Known as Singapore’s only arcade bistro bar, Level Up has plenty to offer in the way of food, beverages, and a retro ambience that’ll take you a few decades back in time. There’s also live music every night featuring a variety of local musical talent.

That said, the games are the real star here. If you and your partner enjoy more hands-on gaming action, there’s pool, foosball, air hockey, basketball, and darts to play.

Those who enjoy video games should check out the video game collections that range from X-Men vs Street Fighter, Pacman and Bishi Bashi to Time Crisis 3 and Metal Slug.

Don’t forget to feed your tummies some yummies before you start gaming the night away — here’s the menu. And be sure to book a table for your night of retro gaming fun. 🥳

02 • Throw darts and then catch a flick at Projector X: Picturehouse

(Photo: The Projector)

Believe it or not, this isn’t the typical “dinner and a movie” date night idea. Not only is it darts and a movie (how often do you see that combination?), but the theatre we’re talking about, Projector X: Picturehouse, is unlike any in Singapore.

Let’s start with the darts. Located at The Cathay, Darts Legend is a great place for you and your date to try and outdo each other in a few rounds of this exciting game.

And if you’ve worked up an appetite or thirst by throwing around some darts, you can order something to snack or sip on while you wait for your movie to start.

Speaking of movies, we weren’t kidding when we said that it’s unlike any other theatre you’ve visited.

Occupying the space formerly held by Cathay Cineplexes, Picturehouse is distinctly indie in its vibe and feature flicks — showing films ranging from cult classics to the latest in foreign cinema. 📽

Did we mention that it also has a well-stocked bar with plenty of beverages to keep you and your date comfy throughout the movie?

One small piece of advice — make sure you immortalise your date night by stepping into the vintage 1980s photo booth to capture the moment in all its black and white photochemical glory!

Don’t forget to check out the menu at Picturehouse’s Intermission Bar to do some pre-snack and beverage planning. 🧠

03 • Have a trippy night of bowling at K Bowling Club

(Photo: 313@somerset)

If your significant other has never tried bowling before, they’re certainly in for a treat! This isn’t the classic bowling alley you’ve probably visited in the past.

The first thing you’ll notice about K Bowling Club is the ambience, as it’s almost like stepping into a club with the neon lights, LED chairs and tables, music, and a bar.

The only difference is that this club has plenty of bowling lanes to unleash your inner Lebowski — not to mention an area to shoot some pool and throw some darts.

But wait, there’s more! K Bowling Club also has an arcade where you can try to win prizes at the claw machines or go head-to-head with your date in a few games of Street Fighter.

There’s even a karaoke booth where you can make sweet music together singing everything from the oldies to the latest hits.

Bowling sure does make you hungry, so don’t forget to check out K Bowling Club’s food and beverage menu to recharge yourself so that you can go more rounds. 😎

Don’t forget to book your date night bowling sessions.

04 • Unleash your inner artist at Splat Paint House

(Photo: Klook)

Whether you and bae are art enthusiasts or you’ve never held a paintbrush in your life, you’re sure to have a date to remember at Splat Paint House.

There are no artistic rules to follow other than choosing your favourite colours, getting a canvas, and using the tools available to splatter paint across the canvas any way you can think of.

Set it on the ground, hang it up on the wall, jump up and down with it as your partner splashes paint all over it (and you).

Almost anything is fair game here. The important thing is just to be creative, have fun, and enjoy creating beautiful art together.

Before heading out on your next date night, be sure to wear clothes that you don’t mind dirtying up. It’s a fun and messy activity, but you’ll be provided with coveralls, gloves, and shoe covers to keep you as clean as possible.

Keep in mind that it takes 48 hours for your paintings to dry, so don’t forget to head back to pick up your masterpiece! 🎨

Remember to book your special date night paint session.

📍 Address: 207a Upper Thomson Road, Singapore 574346
📞 Phone: 8882 0839
⏰ Hours: Wed to Fri, 3pm – 9pm | Sat, 11am – 9pm | Sun, 11am – 7pm
