Ah, bowling! There’s nothing like the thrill of competing with friends and seeing the scores light up the scoreboard. Doesn’t it just get your blood pumping? If you’ve been itching to knock down some pins, you absolutely must check out the best bowling alleys in Singapore. 🎳

01 • Starbowl

Possibly the best budget-friendly bowling alley in Singapore, Starbowl is located in Bukit Batok (Westies, rejoice!), and is easily reachable by car and bus. We love that there’s lots of food options and even a supermarket nearby.

To say that Starbowl’s rates are affordable is an understatement. On weekdays, the rate can go as low as $2/person, per game. Even the highest rates only go up to $3.80/person, per game. Talk about great deals! 🤩

Starbowl also has a wide range of lanes to choose from, ensuring there’s an option for every playstyle and budget. The lanes are also really wide, ensuring that there’s more room for error when you bowl. This makes it a great place for beginners to learn at their own pace.

Westies, you’re in luck. Starbowl isn’t the only bowling alley located in the west. Say hello to Westwood Bowl, a bowling alley located in Bukit Batok’s Civil Service Club. The rates are really cheap, too. You can play for as little as $3.40 per game during off-peak hours, and up to $4 during peak hours.

With 24 lanes, well-maintained equipment,  and the latest ball-tracking technology, Westwood Bowl is a great location to bring your friends and family. They even have kid-sized bowling balls available for the aspiring young bowlers in your family.

That’s not all. If you are  serious about bowling and want a chance to prove your skills, Westwood has a bowling league you can enter and compete in.

We know what you’re thinking. A club inside a bowling alley? Get real. But as K-Bowling Club shows — it can work amazingly!

Claiming to be the first bowling alley and multi-entertainment venue in Singapore, K-Bowling offers a one-of-a-kind experience. With so many activities available, there’s something for everyone, so bring your friends and family over!

Located conveniently within 313@somerset, rates are on the high side, ranging from $11 per game, per person, up to $17 per game, per person. But for the one-of-a-kind experience? Totally worth it.

This place is a full-time cosmic bowling alley, offering some seriously amazing neon visuals while you bowl. And it also offers karaoke, darts, and even an arcade with classic games like Street Fighter!

After  you’re done knocking down pins, there’s no need to go elsewhere if you feel like clubbing after your bowling session. The word ‘club’ isn’t in its name for nothing.

Relax and unwind at the bar with some tasty food. Then dance your socks off to the latest tunes. And if you’re up to it, why not hit the arcade for a few games? Just make sure that if you drink, you leave the driving to someone else. 😉

07 • Sonic Bowl

(Photo: SAFRA)

No, this bowling alley has nothing to do with a certain blue hedgehog, although we wish it did. That aside, Sonic Bowl is still a great place to hang out. In their own words, “Sonic Bowl aspires to develop an inclusive entertainment centre for community bonding and excellence whilst promoting the game of bowling.”

The bowling facilities are pretty good, with lots of lane options to choose from. But Sonic Bowl offers more than just bowling. Some of the activities that they also offer include karaoke, darts, and even billiards. Who would’ve thought that a dedicated bowling alley could have such a variety of activities to do?

Rates here are pretty reasonable, ranging from $5 per person, per game, during off-peak hours to $6 per person, per game, during peak hours. All in all, you’re getting more than what you pay for, making this a pretty great deal.

08 • Orchid Bowl

(Photo: Hotels.com)

Boasting six outlets countrywide, Orchid Bowl is one of the most popular bowling alleys here. Their flagship location at Orchid Club is especially notable, being one of the largest bowling alleys in Singapore.

Orchid Bowl isn’t just famous for its size. It’s also well-known for its fun atmosphere, complete with glow-in-the-dark balls and pins, disco lights, and popular tunes.

Like some of the other places we’ve listed, Orchid Bowl offers child-friendly bowling. It offers Minibowl, a miniature version of bowling that’s equipped with automated bumpers and lighter balls. This setup allows kids to learn how to bowl and have fun while doing it.

Their rates are comparable to some of the other options on this list. From $5 per game, per person, during off-peak hours to $6 per game, per person, during peak hours.

📍 Address: 1 Orchid Club Rd, #02-37 Orchid Country Club, Singapore 769162. View other outlets here.

09 • Kallang Bowl

(Photo: TheSmartLocal)

Located near Stadium MRT station and Kallang Wave Mall, Kallang Bowl is one of the oldest bowling alleys in Singapore. But old doesn’t mean outdated — Kallang Bowl is anything but outdated since its makeover!

Despite its age, the bowling alley looks to be brand new, with 22 competition-standard lanes, touchscreen scoring systems, and interactive screen display technology.

We really love that this place has kid-friendly bowling options as it has 3 lanes with automatic bumpers for kids to practise bowling. Just be sure to book ahead if you’re taking the kids, otherwise those 3 lanes might be in use.

One cool thing about this place is that there’s an ice skating rink just above it. So if you’re into ice skating or just want to wind down after your bowling matches, go for it! And if you’re in the mood for catching a movie, there’s also a cinema there.

The only downside is that the rates are a little on the high side. They offer only hourly rates, starting $28 per hour, per lane, to $50 per hour, per lane.

But at Kallang Bowl, you’re getting what you pay for, which is BOTH competitive and casual bowling. Plus, all the equipment is state of the art, ensuring that you get the best bowling experience possible!

📍 Address: 5 Stadium Walk #02-22 Leisure Park Kallang, 397693
