Inspired by Winnie the Pooh’s Hundred Acre Woods and located just a hop, skip, and jump away from Woodleigh MRT, Bidadari Park is the latest in a large-scale plan to turn the Bidadari Estate into Singapore’s newest and greenest housing zone.

While it’s not exactly 100 acres, Bidadari Park’s 13-hectare footprint is still large enough for any fearless trekker to spend a couple of good afternoons walking around before they’re completely done taking in all it has to offer. So slather on some sunscreen, put on your comfiest walking shoes, and get ready to explore some of the best things to do at Bidadari Park! 🔎

If you’re driving, Bidadari Park’s dedicated parking lot is easily accessible via Upper Aljunied Road, and only costs $0.60 per 30 minutes of parking. This is perhaps why the lots fill up quickly, so if you find yourself out of luck, your best bet is to drive just a little further up to Woodleigh Mall, which has a larger underground parking. Parking there costs $1.55 for the first hour of parking, and $0.80 for every half hour after.

Parking at both of these spaces is available 24 hours a day, so there’s never a bad time to get a breath of fresh air. Now, without further ado, let’s take a look at the best things to do at Bidadari Park!

The best things to do at Bidadari Park

01 • Go on a heritage walk

Walking through Bidadari Park’s painterly gardens, you’d be hard-pressed to believe that the area used to be a cemetery. But don’t worry—all its graves were exhumed close to two decades ago, and much of the park’s current greenery has grown over the years and taken over the former burial grounds.

To honour the park’s past, a heritage walk consisting of several info boards detailing the park’s and its surrounding area’s history has been constructed. The walk starts at Sang Nila Utama Boulevard and stretches further into the park.

If you’re not in a hurry, check back in the first half of 2025, when the Bidadari Memorial Park is scheduled to be completed. The park will contain artefacts from its previous lifetime and even more nuggets of history.

02 • Climb and zipline through Winnie the Pooh’s backyard

Whether it be West Coast Park’s gigantic rope pyramid or the iconic Toa Payoh Dragon Playground, everyone who’s grown up in Singapore has at least one fond memory of clambering up one of Singapore’s many giant playgrounds. If you have young ones of your own, Bidadari Park’s Adventure Playwoods is the perfect place to give them some of their own memorable moments and scraped knees.

The playground’s piece de resistance is, without a doubt, the 5-metre-tall treehouse playground straight out of the Hundred Acre Woods. Scaling the treehouse rewards you with a fun slide back down, where your kid can speed through the playground’s other highlight: a child-friendly mini zipline.

03 • Birdwatch for Singapore’s fiercest raptors

Birdwatching, or birding, as it’s known in some circles, isn’t just an old folks’ sport. More and more young people are getting into this hobby as a way to deepen their appreciation for the natural world and snap some stellar pictures while they’re at it.

Whether you’re a fledgling birder or an avian expert, Bidadari Park is the perfect place to birdwatch due to its prime location in the middle of the East Asia-Australasian Flyway, which is a migratory route for birds that sees the most air traffic between October and April.

To capitalise on this, several bird hides have been constructed throughout the park. These hides are made out of felled timber to provide a natural environment that attracts birds and gives birdwatchers an opportunity to watch them up close.

For those who have their sights set a little higher, check out the 20-metre-tall raptor nest. The Nature Society Singapore has hopes that this structure will eventually become a prime roosting space for Singapore’s resident raptor species, so keep your eyes peeled and your binoculars ready!

Bonus: Get some post-park grub at Woodleigh Mall

Once you’ve worked up an appetite, be sure to take a quick walk to Woodleigh Mall located a quick walk away from Bidadari Park. Woodleigh Mall has a whole array of dining options, including Bulgogi Syo, Singapore’s first 3-Step Hotstone Grill. Enjoying Woodleigh Mall’s good eats while chilling in its’ air-conditioned embrace will be the perfect day to wind down after your Bidadari Park adventure.
