It’s never too late to embrace the freedom to drive! Whether you’re considering signing up or want to pick up where you left off, you’ve come to the right place for answers on completing your GetGo registration.

Now that you know what’s needed to complete your GetGo registration, you can check out our simple guides on how to make the process easy peasy.

After downloading the GetGo app and entering your email and profile details, follow these steps to complete MyInfo or Manual registration:

How to sign up using MyInfo

Step 1: Tap ‘Verify instantly with Singpass’ to get started.

Step 2: Scan or tap the QR code and log in to your Singpass profile to verify your details.

Step 3: Check out our helpful photo taking tips and tap ’I’m ready for a selfie’ once you’re set.

Important: You’ll have 5 attempts to verify your identity.

If you’re unable to verify your identity after 5 tries, fill up the Document Verification form.

Step 4: “Say cheese” and try to keep still while your facial verification photo is being taken.

Step 5: Congratulations! You’re ready to enjoy the freedom to drive.

Complete Registration

How to sign up manually

Step 1: Tap ‘Verify details manually’ to get started.

Step 2: Select the country where you received your driving licence.

Note: If you hold a licence from a non-ASEAN country, you’ll need an International Driving Permit (IDP).

If you have a licence from an ASEAN country, an IDP isn’t required. Read our FAQ for details.

Step 3: Take and submit photos of the front and back of your driving licence.

Important: You’ll have 5 attempts to verify your identity.

If you’re unable to verify your identity after 5 tries, fill up the Document Verification form.

Step 4: Check out our helpful photo taking tips and tap ’I’m ready for a selfie’ once you’re set.

Step 5: Submit this form to complete your registration. You’ll need to provide photos of the following documents:

Official document with full name and address (e.g., utility bill, government letter, etc.)
Visa document (e.g., employment pass, EntrePass, etc.)
Latest Date of Entry document (SG e-Arrival card, travel ticket, etc.)
International Driver’s Permit OR Government-issued English translation of licence (front and back)

Once you’ve submitted your documents, we’ll email you within 48 hours upon account approval.

Step 6: Congratulations! You’re ready to enjoy the freedom to drive.

What should I do if my facial verification is unsuccessful?

Every user is given 5 attempts to verify their identities. To ensure that your facial verification selfie is acceptable, please ensure the following:

Your smartphone’s camera lens is clean
You’re in a well-lit environment away from direct sunlight
Your background is free of distractions

If you’re unsuccessful with all 5 facial verification attempts, please complete and submit our Document Verification form. You can also contact applications@getgo.sg if you have any questions or need help signing up.

If you have a booking within 24 hours and need urgent help, please reach out to us via Live Chat.

ASEAN country driving licences: You can drive with GetGo without an International Driving Licence
Non-ASEAN country driving licences: You’ll need an International Driving Licence to drive with GetGo

What are the requirements to use GetGo?

You must meet the following requirements to use our carsharing service:

Age and Experience: Users must be 19 years or older with 1 year of driving experience. If you don’t have driving experience, you must be 25 years or older. Do take note that the insurance excess for new drivers is higher.

Driver’s licence requirements: Licences must be valid, unexpired, and government-issued. Probationary (P-Plate) and junior licences are not accepted, unless you are 25 years and older.

No major traffic violations or incidents: You must not have any major violations or incidents such as speeding, reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, or operating a vehicle with a suspended or revoked licence.
