The Singapore Michelin Guide 2025 has just dropped, and it’s looking exciting! From an indulgent Peranakan experience to a hawker stall dishing out piping hot noodles, there’s just so much to try and revel in Singapore’s vibrant culinary scene.
01 • Omakase @ Stevens (1 star)

When it comes to omakase, trust in the chef is paramount, and Chef Kazuki proves himself worthy of his diners’ confidence. Omakase @ Stevens has just received its first-ever Michelin star in 2025 — I think it’s a crime that they didn’t get it earlier. Let the experienced chef take the wheel, and simply sit back and enjoy his masterfully-prepared courses.
The menus change seasonally. The summer menu has 6 courses for $238++, and 9 courses for $333++. Look forward to delectable treats like the Hokkaido Uni, which presents its rich, creamy sweetness in a beautifully-balanced composition. The thinly sliced daikon (radish) adds a subtle, refreshing crisp that cradles the luxurious uni (sea urchin) to create an utterly decadent bite.
The Miyazaki Wagyu is another praiseworthy dish, which is perfectly prepared to highlight its tender, melt-in-your-mouth quality. The meat is delightfully soaked in the creaminess of egg yolk puree, enhancing the deep and savoury depth of the meat. You’ll taste the lingering flavours in your mouth long after the meal. 🤤

02 • Pangium (1 star)

Pangium celebrates heritage flavours with a contemporary twist by bringing modern Straits Chinese cuisine to the forefront. It’s a heartfelt tribute to the Peranakan culinary tradition, evident through the restaurant’s unique and deeply personal fine dining experience.
The lunch menu is $198++, while dinner is $298++. You’ll be delighted to see dishes like Pang Susi, which features Iberico pork beautifully seasoned with the aromatic warmth of Kampot white pepper. The additions of candied wintermelon and roasted coriander seeds introduce a sophisticated medley of sweet, savoury, and fragrant notes.
The true showstopper, however, is the Rawon Mee Sua & Oxtail Satay. The earthy richness of the rawon (a type of Indonesian soup) forms an intensely flavourful base for the delicate mee sua. The beef short rib and tendon in the oxtail satay is incredibly succulent and infused with a smoky char. I would’ve never imagined these classic Indonesian flavours used in such a refreshing manner.

03 • Zén (3 stars)

Zén is a multi-sensory dining experience that blends Nordic and Japanese influences. Its avant-garde concept transcends a typical dining experience, and the food is so fantastic that it has earned not 1, not 2, but 3 Michelin stars! 🤯
Zén’s fixed lunch and dinner menus are $395++ and $580++, respectively. Try the Chawanmushi, which has a silky, ethereal custard that provides the perfect canvas for its luxurious additions. Tender slices of awabi (abalone) offer a subtle chew with a burst of oceanic sweetness, while the foie gras introduces a buttery creaminess.
Round up your meal with dessert, such as the Sweet Potato Ice Cream. You might be sceptical, but trust me when I say that the sweet potato flavour is sinfully smooth and carries a comforting earthiness. It’s brilliantly paired with the smoky sweetness of grilled pineapple to birth a truly memorable end to the meal.

04 • Cloudstreet (2 stars)

Cloudstreet offers a contemporary dining experience where creativity meets uncompromising taste. Its expansive taster menu takes you on a 3-hour journey through various dishes and ensures you’ve tasted flavours you never even knew existed.
The 6-course menu is $248++ while the 8-course menu is $398++. Whet your appetite for gems like the Sri Lankan Curry of Western Australian Marron. The curry is spiced to the perfect degree — just enough warmth without being overpowering. It infuses the marron with a delightful sweetness, making it a true gastronomic delight.
If you love duck meat, you must try the Aged Duck. The incredibly tender meat, when paired with the earthy sweetness of baby beets and the subtle kick of Kampot pepper, offers great satisfaction.

Saint Pierre’s set lunch begins at $198++ for a 3-course meal. Kick things off with the succulent Shizuoka King Crab. Its firm and chewy texture is telling of its high quality. What really makes this dish pop is the gentle warmth from the green curry, which surprisingly, complements the crab magnificently.
The Nagasaki Hata is another bestseller. The fish is cooked to flaky perfection, bringing out its pure oceanic flavour from within. It’s elevated by a light, airy sabayon that adds a touch of creamy richness and sweetness, while the watercress lends it a fresh, peppery note. What an elegantly executed dish!

07 • Burnt Ends (1 star)

Burnt Ends is a modern Australian barbeque restaurant that takes wood-fired cooking to new frontiers. Most diners require a booking months in advance, and it’s easy to see why. The expert cooking techniques and premium cuts are sure to please any meat lover
Their highlights include the Pakistani Lamb Chops ($48), which come out perfectly charred on the outside while locking in all the incredible juiciness. The meat is so tender that it practically falls off the bone, and bursts with a deep, smoky flavour. You’ve never had real lamb chops until you tried this!
If you’re heading with a group, grab the Blackmores’ Tomahawk ($420 per kg) to share with the whole table. This cut of marbled beef has a magnificently crispy crust while somehow staying unbelievably succulent on the inside, reflecting world-class cooking. Every slice is packed with a rich, beefy flavour, which instantly makes it an unforgettable centrepiece for any meal.

08 • Sushi Sakuta (2 stars)

Craving an authentic sushi dining experience? Hit up Sushi Sakuta, arguably one of the best sushi restaurants in Singapore. It’s all about Edomae-style sushi, where every piece is prepared with meticulous precision and respect for the ingredients. One taste of the Sushi Sakuta experience, and you’ll be spoilt for life.
You can’t go to a top sushi place without trying their tuna. Sushi Sakuta’s Tuna is absolutely pristine, whether it’s the lean akami, the medium-fatty chutoro, or the rich otoro. The tuna may look like a simple ingredient, but masterful preparation can transform even the most ordinary into culinary masterpieces.
If you’re feeling adventurous, try the Wild Ocean Eel. I was a little hesitant to try it at first, but the meat was so succulent, with a delicate richness that electrified my taste buds. Its top-tier grilling gave it a subtle char while the flesh remained soft and buttery. I lost all my reluctance and wolfed down the rest of it after the first taste.

09 • Les Amis (3 stars)

If you’re looking to pull out all the stops and have the ultimate fancy night out, few restaurants are more suitable than Les Amis, a stunning 3-Michelin-starred French restaurant. Each visit is sure to prove more than a meal, but also an experience that promises to whisk your taste buds away to Paris.
Their expansive menu contains many dishes, such as the L'œuf en Mimosa, a Parisian-style egg mimosa with Oscietra caviar and savoury coulis. The egg is so delicate and fluffy, and the rich, briny burst of the Oscietra caviar on top was an incredible contrast. The mimosa had such a silky smooth texture, you’d have to hold yourself back from devouring it too quickly.
There are equally delectable options for your main course, such as Le canard de Challans, which boasts duck breast from Vendée accompanied by turnips and glazed cherries. The duck breast was cooked with sublime virtuosity, resulting in a perfectly crispy skin and juicy meat. It was rich and savoury, characteristic of authentic French dining. The glazed cherries accompanying it were a delightful surprise too, injecting it with a sweetness that created a harmonious combination of flavours.

10 • Lei Garden (1 star)

Round up your family for a classic roundtable Cantonese-style meal at Lei Garden. This elegant restaurant has already snagged Michelin stars in Hong Kong and China, so it’s no surprise that the Singapore outlet was awarded one as well.
Order a banquet spread to share the goodness around, including dishes like the Crispy Roasted Pork ($28). Each succulent piece of pork came with paper-thin crispy skin that shattered with a satisfying crunch. The meat had just the right amount of fat, telling of its premium quality. It’s a classic Cantonese dish, but elevated to a whole new level.
Of course, you can’t go to Lei Garden and not try their dim sum. Their Steamed Barbeque Pork Buns in Oyster Sauce ($8.50) are highly recommended. Each piece was soft and fluffy, and contained an explosion of sweet and savoury flavours in the barbeque pork filling. Pair that with the richness of the oyster sauce, and you have a dish that I wish I could eat over and over again.
