Some people camp on Ticketmaster to get concert tickets. But me? I camp on the MOM website for the latest news on public holidays in Singapore, and it looks like the public holidays for 2026 have just been released!
As you may know, we have 11 gazetted public holidays every year. And due to the luck of the draw, we’ll have a whopping 6 long weekends in 2026. 🥳
*The dates for Hari Raya are tentative and subject to confirmation.
If you want even more long weekends or think a 3-day weekend is still too short, you can strategically plan your off days to create looonger weekends. Here are some suggestions:
- Take 2 January, Friday, off. You’ll get a 4-day weekend
- Take 16 February, Monday, off. You’ll get a 5-day weekend
What should I do during the public holidays and long weekends?
We work so hard all year, so why let the long weekends go to waste, right? And while going all out on an overseas trip is a fun idea, it might not be everyone’s cup of tea. Check out this mega-list of fun things to do in Singapore if you prefer staying at home like me. Or how about getting some inspo from these date ideas and taking your significant other out?
A long weekend is also the perfect time to book a relaxing chalet staycation. Get your planning started with my chalet recommendations.
I hope this has been useful for helping you organise your public holiday plans for 2026. Happy holidays and have fun!
Happy planning!
