Given our sunny island’s limited space, it’s easy to feel like we’ve run out of fun things to do.
Maybe the thought of squeezing onto public transport in our humid weather is enough to deter you from wanting to explore new activities to try.
If you find yourself bored with your usual leisure activities, or can’t be fussed to think of new ideas, here are 5 fun things you can do in Singapore with a car — trust us when we say that there’s plenty to do! 🙌
01 • Going for a picnic
Picnics are super underrated. For one, packing a picnic basket may seem cumbersome — but the quality time spent with your loved ones makes it all worthwhile. So round them up and make a day out of it!
Don’t forget to pack along your ukulele and some fun games, because picnics can be way more fun than you think.
Here are some pointers on what to pack if you need help getting started:
- A large picnic blanket, mat or tent
- A cooler of your favourite drinks
- Some snacks like chips and mixed nuts
- Sandwiches
- Salads
- A Bluetooth speaker
- Some board or card games
- A change of clothes

02 • Night drives
Romanticise your life and have your main character moment as you cruise down an empty street at night with your favourite music blasting in the background. Add your loved one to the scene, and you got perfection.
Can’t find a playlist to fit the vibes? Here’s one that’s perfect for making your way down the scenic East Coast Parkway with the sea breeze hitting your face. If you have the whole night to yourself, why not drop by the East Coast Park for a stroll too?
Here’s a list of some of our favourite routes:
- Rifle Range Road
- Mount Faber
- Lim Chu Kang Road
- Bayfront Avenue
- South Buona Vista Road (99 Bends)
- Marina Coastal Expressway (MCE) Undersea Tunnel
03 • Scenic drives

If driving at night isn’t your thing, enjoy a scenic cruise during the day instead. Why not take a day drive to escape reality, even just for a little while so you can unwind and recharge?
Some of our go-to routes include:
Don’t forget to capture the memory of your drives by taking some photos or videos of your trip using a dash cam or GoPro. Or you can just assign that task to your passenger(s) instead. You never know what beautiful scenes you’ll get to see.
04 • Cycling at PCN
For those who are unfamiliar, PCN stands for Park Connector Network. Singapore’s PCN links up to more than 30km of scenic trails all around the country, and is perfect for fully immersing yourself in nature.
Park your car at any PCN car park, start your trek, and walk back knowing that your car will be waiting for you after a good sweat.
Those who enjoy cycling should absolutely bring along their bicycles. After all, PCNs promise a better riding experience than regular pedestrian walkways. Here’s our PCN cycling guide that you can’t miss. If you’re heading out with friends or family on a group trip, our vans can help transport your machines.

05 • An afternoon at Marina Barrage

If you’ve been to Marina Barrage’s Green Roof many times before, why not try fishing or picnicking at the breakwater near the car park for a change?
Spot fishing enthusiasts during the weekends as they catch their spoils and strike up a conversation. It’s also a great spot to relax as you feel the breeze through your hair while enjoying a picnic with your friends.
Now that you know what else you can do to spice up the next weekend, why not check out our cars to see which one will suit your driving needs, and book your next adventure?
To a fun-filled weekend!
