Plaza Singapura Food

Plaza Singapura might be a shopping mall, but let’s be real — the real attraction here is the food. From crispy fried chicken that could ruin your diet plans (worth it) to vending machine cakes that might make you think that maybe robots should be in charge of desserts, Plaza Singapura’s food scene is packed with good spots. So come hungry, wear stretchy pants, and be wary of the ultimate food coma that will ensue. 😝

10 must-try foods at Plaza Singapura

01 • Arteastiq DePatio

If patience is a virtue, then Arteastiq DePatio is basically a saint, because their pizzas take 3 whole days to perfect. This gourmet European restaurant ferments their pizza dough for 72 hours just to give you that dreamy, light, and airy bite.

Sink your teeth into the Burrata Parma Ham Margherita, where creamy burrata, rich tomato sauce, and delicate Parma ham come together in a gloriously melty, savoury bite. Or, go bold with the Truffle and Portobello Mushroom pizza.

If pizza isn’t your thing, try the crowd favourite Cod Fish and Chips or the Baby Squid Truffle Risotto instead. End the meal on a sweet note, with their Cannoli Crepe, served with 2 scoops of gelato of your choice.

Their Sindang-Dong Tteokbokki simmered in a spicy gochujang sauce and the crispy Potato Corndogs, stuffed with gooey cheese, take me right back to the days of exploring night markets along the streets of Seoul.

If you’re like me and on the Korean 7/11 side of Tiktok, this is your chance to try out the viral pouch drinks, as POCHA! carries 7 different flavours of the viral beverage.

03 • Mamma Mia Trattoria E Caffè (halal)

(Photo: Foodpanda)

Decision paralysis may hit you hard thanks to Mamma Mia’s impressive menu (why does every single option sound good?) — don’t worry, we’ve got some recommendations for you.

Start with the Beef Meatballs with Herb Sour Cream, a giant juicy meatball served with a herby, tangy sauce. The Mafalda Pasta with Beef White Bolognese is a unique dish you’d be hard-pressed to find elsewhere — made with minced beef in a creamy white ragu, topped with homemade chilli oil.

For something indulgent, we loved the Braised Beef Oxtail Pink Risotto, with the creamy tomato base. To top it all off, sip on one of their mocktails for a refreshing palette cleanse. We really liked the Boy With Luv, a tropical drink made with pineapple that’s reminiscent of a virgin piña colada!

Le Shrimp Ramen brings together the rich broths of Japan with the silky, springy noodles of Chinese La Mian to create a series of unique ramen dishes to savour.

Check out their Signature Trio Shrimp Noodle, with juicy fresh prawns, Ebiko prawn-paste balls and succulent prawn dumplings in a shrimp broth. If you’re looking for some spice, the Spicy Prawn and Braised Scallion Soy Chicken noodles will get your taste buds tingling.

05 • Okashi Gaku Vending Machine

(Photo: Chue On It)

At this point, Singapore has a vending machine for everything — drinks, hot meals, bouquets, and even real gold bars. So there’s no doubt that there’d be one for cakes too, right? This Okashi Gaku vending machine at Plaza Singapura serves cakes in a can, because why settle for normal cakes when you can have one dispensed like a soda, at any time of the day?

Originally from Japan, this futuristic little desert station had gone viral all over the internet for its beautifully layered cakes in clear cans, with flavours like Strawberry Shortcake and Tiramisu that look almost too pretty to eat. The cakes are not too sweet and filled with fluffy whipped cream that tastes akin to what you’d get at a bakery.

It’s the ultimate pick me up for when you’re in the mall and suddenly remember that life is just better with cake — especially one that comes from a machine.

06 • PizzaMaru

(Photo: EverydayOnSales)

PizzaMaru does pizzas and fried chicken the Korean way — if you’re stuck deciding between Western or Asian cuisine for your meal at Plaza Singapura, PizzaMaru can easily satisfy both cravings.

Their pizzas have a thick crust and are loaded with toppings to give you a hefty slice. The Gangnam Cowboy is a meaty option, topped with beef steak, chicken ham, mushrooms, bell peppers, and onions with a steak bulgalbi sauce and mayonnaise. They also have meatless options such as Margherita and Original cheese for something classic yet delicious.

Leave some space for their signature fried chicken as well, with flavours such as Garlic Dak Ganjeong for a spicy bite and Honey Butter, the viral sweet-savoury combination that swept through Korea and has since become a crowd favourite.

07 • Typhoon Cafe

(Photo: Typhoon Cafe)

Did you know that you can get authentic Taiwanese food at Plaza Singapura? At Typhoon Cafe, there definitely is a risk of you getting blown away — by the food, that is. Check out the Taiwan Lu Rou Rice, a comforting bowl of braised pork rice, and the Dumpling La Mian, a soupy noodle dish with pork and prawn dumplings.

If you’re craving something lighter, their Double Boiled Chicken Collagen soup or the Steamed Barramundi Fillet with Shimeiji Mushroom also make for a protein-packed meal.

Just know to leave space for dessert, because their Soufflé Pancakes are unmissable. Light, fluffy, and cloud-like, these pancakes are the kind of dessert that makes you want to order seconds.

💡Pro tip: Remember to order the Soufflé Pancakes in advance, as it takes 20-30 minutes for the chefs to prepare it.

On our quest for good food at Plaza Singapura, we stumbled upon Thai-Hainanese restaurant Go-Ang Pratunam Chicken Rice, serving a twist on our beloved hawker dish that definitely leaves a lasting impression.

The Chicken Rice was served with tender, juicy steamed chicken and fragrant, perfectly cooked rice that went well with the spicy garlic-chilli sauce. Steamed and roasted chicken were available, and for those who like some crunch, there was a fried chicken option available too!

The restaurant also dishes out a variety of authentic Thai dishes, such as the signature Thai-style Curry Fish Head and the Thai Chicken Tom Yum Soup Noodle with rich and mildly spicy broth and springy noodles.

09 • Epi D’or

There’s nothing quite like the allure of freshly baked goods — their buttery aroma wafting through the air, convincing you that, yes, you are indeed in need of a snack. If you walk by Epi D’or at Plaza Singapura, resisting the temptation is nearly impossible (trust me).

This cosy bakery is the ideal pit stop to grab a quick bite to-go, from soft, pillowy Hokkaido Milk Buns to cheesy, savoury delights, pastries and cream puffs. The bakery also sells baguettes, brioche, and soft multi-grain bread that would make for lovely sandwiches or French toast.
