GetGo was born from a simple yet ambitious dream to put the freedom to drive in everyone’s hands. Since our launch in February 2021, we’ve come a long way and achieved various milestones — including being the first carsharing app in Singapore to integrate multiple charging providers for easy in-app electric vehicle (EV) charging, and adding facial verification to our app to boost user account safety. These achievements couldn’t have been done without your support.

In our latest initiative to promote shared and sustainable mobility, we’ve partnered with SBS Transit. Read on to learn more about it.

We’re thrilled to be the only carsharing service in Singapore to join hands with a leading public transport company to provide commuters with seamless first and last mile connectivity options.

We aim to add ease and flexibility for those who take public transport by enabling them to continue with the rest of their journey with carsharing. That’s why we’ve deployed over 400 GetGo vehicles located within 10-minute walking distance of all Downtown Line (DTL) and North East Line (NEL) MRT stations, as well as most major bus interchanges.

We’re kicking off this meaningful partnership with educational information displayed on DTL and NEL trains and at selected bus interchanges to encourage more people to adopt sustainable commutes.

Our partnership with SBS Transit is also in line with Singapore’s vision to go car-lite and achieve net zero carbon emissions. We strongly believe that together, we’ll be able to make this a reality with a collective shift towards a sharing economy and fewer vehicles on the road.

Choosing shared transportation over private car ownership is not only sustainable for our ecosystem but is also friendlier to our pockets and minds. This is because public transport and carsharing don’t require the huge financial commitments that typically come along with car ownership — such as the cost of a Certificate of Entitlement (COE), vehicle insurance, petrol, and routine servicing and maintenance, just to name a few.
