GetGo has come a long way since we launched on 25 February 2021, when COVID was still on the top of everyone’s mind. In the midst of those uncertain and challenging times, we made it our mission to give Singaporeans an affordable alternative to car ownership through carsharing. Your response was overwhelmingly positive, with over 10,000 people signed up on our pre-launch waitlist. Two years later, we are now Singapore’s leading carsharing platform.

Together, we are making a real impact on the transportation industry and car ownership in Singapore — becoming an increasingly popular option for drivers looking for a more sustainable and cost-effective way to drive. Even ministers of parliament have recognised carsharing as an important part of Singapore Green Plan 2030. 

Thanks 2 U, our GetGo users, we have been fortunate enough to grow our fleet to over 2,100 vehicles and expand across 1,400 locations islandwide, making it possible for even more people to enjoy the benefits of carsharing.

Improving operations and customer experience

We will enhance our operations and customer experience by adopting new and improved technologies and growing our team across all areas. With the right technologies and people, we can meet the growing demand for carsharing in Singapore and ensure our app and customer experience are as smooth and supportive as possible.

Increasing our accessibility in a sustainable manner

We will improve our accessibility in a more sustainable manner by adding more vehicles to more neighbourhoods across Singapore, including new electric vehicles (EVs). We will do this by expanding our fleet with high-quality EVs and forming more strategic partnerships to grow our EV fleet even further. This will enable more users to experience the freedom to drive in a green vehicle, and marks a big step in reaching our goal of having a fully electric and hybrid fleet of 10,000 vehicles in support of Singapore Green Plan 2030. 

It is our mission to empower our community with the freedom to drive, and we are extremely excited to have this opportunity to scale what we are building to reach an even wider audience.

01 What are the requirements to join GetGo?

These are the key requirements for joining GetGo:

  • You need to be 19 or older with at least 1 year of driving experience OR be 25 or older with a P-Plate licence.
  • You need a valid government-issued driving licence. Non-ASEAN foreign driving licence holders are welcome to apply.
  • You must have a safe driving record with no major violations or incidents.

If you meet these requirements, simply download the GetGo app and sign up for an account using MyInfo — it takes less than 3 minutes!

02 Does GetGo require any deposit or membership fees?

No. You only need to pay for the hours and mileage driven.

03 Where can I park the GetGo car at the end of my booking?

Since we are a point A-to-A carsharing service, you’ll need to return the car to the same parking lot you collected it from.

If you’re ever unsure about where to return the car, you can always check your booking page on the GetGo app.

04 Do I need to pay to refuel or recharge the car during my booking?

No. For our petrol vehicles, we provide an Esso Fuel Card in every car. Just visit the nearest Esso petrol kiosk to refuel with the Esso card and PIN.

For our EVs, we provide an EV charging card. Just visit the nearest CDG ENGIE charging station to recharge the vehicle.

05 Can I use my EZ-Link card as a CashCard?

Absolutely. All of our cars have dual-mode IUs, which allow you to use your EZ-Link card as a CashCard.
